How does TSI engines work ?

The Supercharger:
presses the air inside the engine.
Provide an economic and total consumption for the fuel.
Provide more Torque in the lower speeds so now we have maximum torque on low speeds.

The TurboCharger :

is the same like the Supercharger but the Turbo works only on the higher speeds, thus we have maximum power on a different range of speeds

The idea of such invention is having a powerful  engine with the least fuel consumption, and CO2 immersions.
A 1.4L TSI engine has different versions across Volkswagen model range   122 HP , 140HP , 150, and 160HP
A 1.4L Tsi engine with 150HP is equivalent to a normal engine with 2300 CC, but with 20% less fuel consumption.

TSI …. Maximum Power Minimum Consumption .
