VOLKSWAGEN WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITION

(Arab Republic of Egypt – OEM Legal Format)

This Warranty Agreement is issued by Volkswagen for vehicles sold through the Volkswagen Authorized Network within the Arab Republic of Egypt and shall be governed by the following terms and conditions.

DEFINITIONS

“Vehicle” means any new Volkswagen passenger car sold by an authorized Volkswagen dealer in Egypt.
“Warranty Period” means 5 (five) years or 100,000 km, whichever occurs first, commencing from the date of first registration. “Authorized Network” means Volkswagen -approved dealers and service partners.
“Manufacturer” means Volkswagen AG and its authorized regional representatives.

WARRANTY COVERAGE

The Manufacturer warrants that the Vehicle is free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and operating conditions during the Warranty Period.
Any defect confirmed by the Authorized Network shall be remedied free of charge through repair or replacement of the defective part(s) at the discretion of the Manufacturer.
Replaced parts shall become the property of Volkswagen.

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS

This Warranty does not constitute a guarantee of vehicle availability, replacement vehicle, or compensation for indirect or consequential losses.
Warranty repairs do not extend or renew the original Warranty Period.

WEAR AND TEAR EXCLUSIONS

The following items are considered wear -and-tear components and are excluded from warranty coverage once affected by normal usage:

  • Brake pads and brake discs
  • Clutch assembly and related components
  • Tires
  • Wiper blades and rubber elements
  • Spark plugs
  • Light bulbs
  • Batteries for keys, remote controls, and alarm systems
  • Shock absorbers
  • Upholstery, seat covers, and interior trim
  • Floor coverings

ADJUSTMENTS AND MAINTENANCE EXCLUSIONS

The following adjustments are deemed maintenance -related and are excluded from warranty coverage after initial vehicle usage:

  • Door, hood, trunk, and panel alignment
  • Brake adjustments
  • Gear linkage and selector adjustments
  • Belt tension adjustments
  • Ignition system adjustments
  • Headlight alignment
  • Wheel alignment and wheel balancing

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

The Warranty shall not apply to defects, failures, or damage arising from:

  • Improper use, negligence, misuse, or abuse of the Vehicle
  • Failure to follow Manufacturer maintenance schedules and instructions
  • Use of non -approved parts, accessories, lubricants, or fluids
  • Accident, collision, fire, theft, vandalism, or external impact damage
  • Environmental or natural causes including floods, sandstorms, storms, chemical exposure, or industrial pollution
  • Motorsport, racing, or competitive activities
  • Unauthorized modifications, alterations, or repairs
  • Glass breakage, paint damage due to external influences, or corrosion caused by external factors
  • Damage caused by external influence or insufficient care and maintenance of the Vehicle
  • Consequential or incidental losses including towing, accommodation, transportation, rental expenses, loss of use, or loss of income

MAINTENANCE OBLIGATION

The Owner shall ensure that the Vehicle is serviced strictly in accordance with Volkswagen maintenance schedules and specifications.
All maintenance and repair records must be documented in the official service booklet or approved digital service history.
Failure to comply with maintenance requirements may result in partial or complete rejection of warranty claims.

PARTS WARRANTY

Genuine Volkswagen replacement parts are covered by a 2 -year unlimited mileage warranty from the date of purchase.
Parts replaced under the Vehicle Warranty shall only remain covered for the balance of the original Vehicle Warranty Period.

PAINT WARRANTY

The Vehicle is covered for 3 years from the date of first registration against manufacturing defects in paintwork.
This warranty does not cover paint damage caused by accidents, stone chips, sandstorms, industrial fallout, environmental conditions, improper maintenance, or external influence.

CORROSION WARRANT

The Vehicle is covered for 12 years against perforation corrosion originating from inside the body panel outward.
Corrosion resulting from accident damage, external influence, neglect, improper maintenance, or non -approved body repairs is excluded.

WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY

Repairs performed by the Volkswagen Authorized Network are covered by a workmanship warranty of 6 months or 10,000 km, whichever occurs first.
This warranty applies exclusively to defects directly resulting from faulty workmanship.

INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY

Warranty repairs may be carried out by any member of the Volkswagen Authorized Network worldwide, subject to verification of vehicle eligibility and compliance with Volkswagen warranty policies.
Continuous operation of the Vehicle outside its original market specification may affect warranty applicability due to technical or environmental differences
